Privacy Policy

Who We Are
Waffle Cheltenham is a trading name of a small editorial team based at 14 Sandford Mill Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL53 7JB, United Kingdom. We operate the website at wafflecheltenham.co.uk and the associated email addresses at that domain.
We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact: [email protected].
What We Collect
Very little. The site does not run a newsletter, does not ask you to create an account, does not take your payment details, and does not run behavioural advertising. The personal data flows are limited to two channels.
1. Email correspondence
If you email us at any address on the wafflecheltenham.co.uk domain, we receive your email address, your name (if signed), and the content of your message. We retain email correspondence for six years as a working editorial record. We do not use correspondence for marketing. We do not share it with third parties, except where compelled by UK law.
2. Server-side analytics
The site collects aggregate traffic data through our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) and via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-less and does not use fingerprinting. Data collected: page viewed, referring domain, country-level location, device type, and browser type. We do not collect IP addresses at a record level and we do not identify individual users from analytics data.
Affiliate Link Tracking
Every outbound link to a casino on this site is an affiliate link. When you click one, the destination operator (and any affiliate-network intermediary such as Linkly) records the click and may set its own cookies on your browser under that operator's terms. Waffle Cheltenham does not read or store those third-party cookies. If you register at an operator we link to, the operator may attribute the registration to this site for commission purposes.
Affiliate tracking cookies are set by the destination operator, not by us. Your browser's privacy tools (incognito mode, tracker blockers, first-party-cookie-only settings) affect how those cookies behave. Blocking them does not prevent you registering at the operator, but may prevent the commission attribution.
Cookies We Set
Waffle Cheltenham sets no first-party cookies on this site. Cloudflare's platform may set essential cookies required for the site to function (bot protection, DDoS mitigation) — these are not used for tracking and cannot be disabled without losing access to the site.
Legal Basis for Processing
Where we process personal data, the lawful basis under UK GDPR Article 6 is legitimate interest (running and improving an editorial website) for analytics, and consent-plus-contract (you contacting us on our email address) for correspondence. You can withdraw consent for email correspondence by emailing us and requesting deletion; we will delete within 30 days unless we have a legal obligation to retain the correspondence longer.
Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, and object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days and confirm the action in writing.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — the UK data protection authority — at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Third Parties
We use Cloudflare Pages for hosting and Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic data. We use Linkly for affiliate link management. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any similar advertising tracker.
Data Retention
Email correspondence: 6 years. Analytics data: retained by Cloudflare under its own terms (typically 6 months for Web Analytics). Affiliate click data: retained by the affiliate network (Linkly) under its own terms.
Minors
The site is for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has contacted us, email [email protected] and we will delete the correspondence.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the "last updated" date at the top. Minor wording corrections are not logged. Material changes — new data flows, new third parties, changes to retention — will be noted with a short changelog at the bottom of this page for six months after the change.
